If there is one thing that I’ve always loved, it’s maxi dresses! Aren’t they just the most practical type of clothes to wear during lazy days? Put them on and that’s it, you’re ready to go! But if you’re, like me, always looking for a more detailed outfit, you might want more than simply putting on a maxi dress. Especially during the beginning of spring, when the weather has it’s ups and downs, temperature wise.
What I usually look for in a maxi dress, it’s how easy tit is to adapt to any weather situation. And, if I have to invest into something as expensive as a dress from The Kooples, I’ll go for a dress with a loose fit, a lightweight fabric, just because I want to be able to wear it from spring to the beginning of fall! The maxi dress on the photos above is just the perfect transitional piece. Despite being made of very thin silk, I think I’ll be able to wear it again during the summer.
To style this dress, for spring, I thought that the colour would be perfect paired with black accessories and some bold materials such as a leather jacket. That kind of jacket is actually perfect with a maxi dress! It tones down the boho vibe for a more edgy and effortless look and will protect against the chilly weather. I also went for some leather mules from h&m, from last year. I love how they elongate the legs, despite hurting as hell! To finish the look, I picked one of my favourite bucket bag and a new pair of golden earrings from Mango.
