Most bloggers don’t want to believe that there is a thing such as a “blogger look” but I truly think that it actually exists! Don’t get me wrong the blogger look idea that we tend to have is not a bad thing at all, but let’s face it, who has really seen someone wearing some statement ruffle blouses or bralettes in the streets? Talking about ruffles, like I said before, I’ve never been really a big fan of this trend as it usually adds volume where it’s unecessary.
I usually try to stay away from the blogging trends as much as possible, as they usually don’t suit my own personal tastes but ruffles paired with gingham tend to play on my hearstrings. I’ll have to admit, the ruffle-gingham combo just gives me strong 60s Brigitte Bardot vibes that I’ve always loved. And as I grew up in the south east of France, we are pretty used to see these kind of pieces in the streets over there.
It’s not a big surprise I would get a gingham ruffle skirt, not only it’s incredibly versatile but it’s also a bargain! And to style this little babe, I wanted a very casual look, spring or even summer appropriate. That’s why, I went for a lightweight and flowing H&M blouse to go with the skirt. To keep the black and white I picked a pair of sling back shoes from Marks & Spencer. To finish the look, I thought that some earthy tones would go really well with B&W, that’s why I picked of my new favourite tan bag from Status Anxiety. Ps: The panty lines are completely optional.
