If there is one print I don’t wear too often, it’s the floral one. That’s why getting the red floral dress that I’m wearing today is a surprising choice coming from me. As it’s a print that can make anyone look a bit “childish” I will always look for very specific ones. I love when a floral print has a very detailed and “dainty” look, like on this dress that I wore a little while ago. But every once in awhile, I will get out of my sartorial comfort zone and try something a bit out of character. This time was a great experience as I didn’t regret my choice of floral print one bit!
To style this dress, the best thing to do, if you’ve similar tastes to mine, is to go for bold accessories and materials and neutral colours. That’s why I picked my favourite bucket bag. This bag has a shiny look, thanks to the leather quality (I believe it’s veg tan but don’t quote me on that…), it helps to contrast with the dress. It also tone down the “cute” look of the daisies on the dress. I also put on pointy sling back flats to make the silhouette more interesting.
What’s your take on that style of prints?
