I think I’m not the only one if I say that I’m always looking for comfortable shoes during summer. Sandals, made of plastic or leather, always tremendously hurt my feet. However, I’ve discovered the micro trend that is the rope sandal one. I thought I would give it a go, despite the rope aspect not being very appealing to me. I had in mind that shoes made of rope would feel too harsh on my skin and that they were popular only to make a fashion statement. Well… To my great astonishment, rope sandals are extremely comfortable!
I also love how easy rope sandals are to style, especially when the natural colour of the material is kept. But as you can see on the photos above, I’ve opted for a pretty simple outfit today. It’s also a quite versatile one as the weather can be a bit changing these days. I found these baggy trousers from Zara in my closet, and I thought they would go perfectly with the trousers. I also opted for a leather for mornings as the temperature can still be a bit chilly. I finished the look with the plunder bag from Status Anxiety. The colour of the bag actually helps to warm the outfit up a bit.
What’s your take on this trend?
Biker jacket: Vintage/ V-neck top: Asos/ Striped baggy trousers: Zara/ Rope sandals: Nomadic state of mind/ Bag: Status Anxiety
