There are not a lot of trends that are as helpful and money saving than the layering trend. Before the western world took this trend by storm, it was always something I associated with japanese fashion, especially the mori gyaru style. I’ll have to admit that I’ve always had a soft spot for layering. I just like the idea of reinventing a statement piece after getting tired of it. Needless to say, it’s also a smart way to save money for all the fashionistas out there!
As you may already know, today’s post is focused on this beautiful floral dress from Stradivarius (Talking about them, when did this brand become so cool?). I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, even if it’s wasn’t really my style. The layering I did here is super simple. After all, it’s only a dress over a pair of jeans. But it’s the design of the dress that is suitable all year long. My outfit today is perfect to transition into Fall but how about Fall to Winter? Depending on how harsh the weather is, a simple leather jacket and a pair of boots will do the trick. Also one of those long blazer coats would look amazing thrown over this dress paired with some wool tights and chunky boots. In the end it’s all about creativity!
How would you style this piece?
