If you remember my first post about the polka dots trend, you may already know I’ve always been in love with this print. However, like I said in my previous post, this print can easily look juvenile on anyone. But, and fortunately for all the polka dots lovers out there, wearing such a print as a grown up isn’t impossible. For example, wearing polka dots with a pair of heels is one of those fail proof combo but this would be an obvious choice! You can also go for neutral/ natural colours such as a burnt red like on the photos above. It’s all about the right choice of accessories!

As the weather is around 37Β°c now in the south east of France, I opted for the “less is more” formula. The key when using a minimal amount of clothing and accessories is to go for the statement pieces. In this outfit the main one is obviously the dress. I matched this ruffle polka dot dress with a pair of classic slides from Zara. The colour of these sandals actually compliments really well the black polka dots print. I picked a new pair of earrings from Mango, they just make the chicest earrings! It’s also a nice golden touch that gives that grown up look. To finish the look, I picked my straw bag from Stella Forest, just for that southern French touch.

Ps: Sorry for the tired/ evil look, that’s the face I have when I’m hungry.

How would you style a polka dot dress?

Fabulous dress! It’s very elegant, but the sandals and bag make it work for everyday wear, too. It looks beautiful on you. =) (And I would never have guessed this came from H&M–it looks much higher end than that!)

The polka dot pattern has a sense of fun about it .
I think that at times we take fashion too seriously
if you’re feeling too serious, wear polka dots and lighten

I love the beautiful European scenery in the background. It really compliments the outfit and adds to its sophistication. You absolutely stun in this dress, however you would look good in anything πŸ™‚

As a fashion historian I love this 1930’s silhouette, even
the polka dot pattern has a vintage feel. If your not familiar
with the 30’s style , look it up .

Looove this so much! I found the dress online (s size) but I’m little concerned about measurements. My waist is 30 inches, so I don’t know if it would fit…
I would very much like to hear your opinion! Thanks πŸ™‚ <3
