Since temperatures are hitting up to 40C in Europe, the whole idea of putting on clothes was the least of my worries. However, I still wanted to prove myself that I could feel well dressed despite the heat. In order to do so, I went on a mission to find the perfect little dress. Since I first headed to my local Zara and found this gem from the Trafaluc section, the hunt ended quickly! While I never was a fan of Zara Trafaluc, it’s always a good idea to look through the racks as it can hide little treasures such as this button-up dress!

To style this dress, there wasn’t any thought process, to be honest. Like I said, dressing up wasn’t really a priority lately (Also, am I the only who feels extremely tired and uninspired when the temperatures are that extreme?). Despite the design of the dress being really simple, the little details such as the stripes and the buttons make the dress looks expensive. That’s why I felt it was a good idea to not over accessorize this look. A pair of pointy flats, a straw bag and some golden earrings were my choice. After all, this combo has been my go-to summer uniform lately!

How to you dress to survive a heatwave?

Oh wow a great find Aria, this version of the slip dress is a winner. When the climate gets cooler you can wear layered with a turtle neck.

I’ve spotted this dress on Instagram recently and had already fallen in love. It’s really your style as well, so I love to see it on you! Perfectly light and so interesting despite being so minimal!

Dresses are so perfect for the heat! They are not tight in your skin and let you breath! They can also help you look formal and fresh!

I do love a striped dress for summer. Perfect with pointy flats too! I’m not much of a Zara girl myself, I think our stores end up getting the most basic stock, not the good or modern styles. It’s not much to get excited over.
