When it comes to blazers, Zara has always been one of my favourite store. Their designs always have that unique little twist that I’ve always loved. The only thing I would reproach to them is the sizing that can be a little weird sometimes. However, as I’ve learned how to sew during my fashion studies, I’ve corrected what I didn’t like in that blazer. Call me crazy, but I removed the shoulder pads! I’ve also resized the shoulders, but just a little bit, as I wanted to keep that oversized look.

There isn’t much thought process behind this look. I look like I’ve just thrown everything I found on my bedroom floor on my own body. And that’s actually what happened… But oddly enough that weird mix of colours, trends and off season accessories kind of work! I like how the red sweater compliments the earthy tones of the blazer. But now that I’m looking back at this look, I realise that I should have worn a pair of black denim instead of blue. Also, I love how the wicker bag blends so well with this look. In the south, we tend to carry straw bags all year long. Looks like I’m not ready to break this tradition yet.

How would you style this oversized blazer?

I like how you’re so down to earth and you can look back on a picture and not like it like the rest of us haha. I’ve had those moments many times. Still, I do like how the red and blazer complement each other.

This looks great on you. I am still not sure if I could pull off a checked blazer (most of my wardrobe is either black, grey or white and there are hardly any patterned pieces in there).

That is so true about Zara – I love their stuff but the sizing is so weird! Either way, you look fabulous and I love the way you’ve put these colours together!

I love your blazer and look is so well put together with a straight cut denim:)) Agreed about the fitting issues with Zara as well. But, they have great designs!

I love your styling! Even though you say you would change the pants to black denim I actually love the blue you’re rocking. It creates a more casual vibe which I love.

Totally understand you – even if I can’t sew (but my granny does). Sometimes a little change makes a huge difference. Love your look – especially in combination with that cute basket.
