You already know that I’m completely obsessed with blazers. It came to a point that I could open a store only dedicated to blazers… However, it’s easy to get tired about a beloved piece or to run out of inspiration when it comes to styling. Usually I like to use the statement waist belt trick, it’s simple yet it completely changes an outfit!

For today’s outfit, I picked a vinyl waist belt from Mango. I like the look of the vinyl on the more classic checked pattern. I think it gives the blazer a more modern look despite the very retro cut. For the rest of the outfit, I picked my pair of sailor trousers from The Kooples. Since the mix of brown and black can be quite risky, I didn’t choose any other colours. To finish the look, I put on a pair of slingback heels and a vintage inspired bag. I love it’s tan colour as it helps to warm the outfit up a little bit.

How do you like to elevate your blazers?

Checked blazer: Zara/ Vinyl waist belt: Mango/ Sailor pants: The Kooples/ Kitten heels: Marks & Spencer/ Bag: X Nihilo

Great idea – I have an oversized vintage blazer that I could try belting !

This is such a rad look! I still haven’t really gotten into actually wearing blazers, despite my mild obsession with them. Goal for the new year is to buy myself a damn blazer!
