If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I’m one of those gingham aficionados! Truth to be told, the gingham print is more a classic, here, in the south of France than a trend. However I tend to be picky when it comes to gingham. I always carefully choose the size of a gingham print or the colour. I’ll admit that pink is a colour I will always avoid when it comes to this print, as a French salami brand is using pink gingham for their logo… Nonetheless, gingham is extremely versatile and easy to style, that’s why I’ve always been into it.
For the summer, I would usually go for a black and white or a blue and white pattern. They are the prettiest, in my opinion. Both set of colours are usually easy to style with other colours, from neutrals to brighter colours. Just like you can see on the photos above, even if I paired those gingham pants with a white shirt, I still added a pair of burgundy slides. It adds an interesting contrast to the outfit and make it more interesting. I’ll admit that I didn’t take any risk, as burgundy is an easy colour to style! To finish the look, I picked a basket bag. It’s neutral colour help to add this little summery touch I was looking for!
