The funny thing about this outfit is that I almost didn’t post it. The day of the photoshoot was one of the coldest of the year and I didn’t know how uncomfortable I would look on the photos. However, I managed to pick quite a few! As you can see, I fell for the baker boy hat trend. When I saw this trend coming back, I wasn’t that enthusiastic about it.
It’s usually a bit tricky to wear a baker boy hat in France because of Gavroche from Les Misérables (Gavroche being the French name of the baker boy hat) but also because of the past generations. It is also one of those clichés that French people don’t usually appreciate.
But like I said, that trend grew on me and as “la gavroche” I wore as a kid was obviously too small for me, I bought a new one from Mango. As you can see, I’ve unironically paired this hat with a striped sweater. Despite the cliché, I love the combo! I finished the look with a pair of otk boots and a military inspired coat.
What’s your take on this trend?
