Even if you’re new to my blog, you may remember this shirt. It was featured for the first time on this blog less than a month ago. However, I love this shirt so much that I thought it was worth recycling it for a new outfit post. You can’t blame me, a polka dots pattern is such a classic that it’s so easy to style in my opinion!
Also, you may have seen this leather jacket a lot on my blog. Actually, I bought it when I was a student, roughly ten years ago, in a vintage store. The leather is shredded here and there but I love the fit so much! It’s also so hard to find a good fitting leather jacket in a vintage store that I don’t want to get rid of it anytime soon for some unknown reasons!
Anyway, let’s get back to the outfit! Like I said earlier, a polka dot pattern is super easy to style. For example, this polka dot blouse will be as easy to style as a plain white shirt. It’s also one of the easiest pattern to mix with another one. That’s why, I like to experiment and have fun with this pattern!
So, to style this shirt, I didn’t experiment anything new but I picked a neutral colour palette. As it’s spring, I paired the shirt with a pair of kick flare jeans (Seriously, Mango has the best affordable ones!). For the shoes, I went for a pair of Jonak’s suede shoes. In France, we call this shoe design “babies” but I really couldn’t find the English equivalent online! To warm the outfit up a bit, I picked a rich toned wicker bag. As it can be chilly in the morning, I finished the look with my beloved leather jacket and I was good to go!
What’s your take on the polka dot print?
