If you have been following my blog for a while, you may already know that I’m one of those gingham lovers. Especially when it comes in black and white or blue and white. If you’re also into it, it’s just one of those statement pattern that goes with everything. Hence why, I’ve always thought that a lovely gingham piece was always a good investment!

Truth to be told, gingham in the south of France is more of a classic print. I tend to believe that Brigitte Bardot is the one who made it a classic. After all, she got married in an iconic pink gingham wedding dress. However, I know that the top I wear on the photos above isn’t a proper gingham print but it’s definitely very close.

Today’s outfit is a bit different from what you’ve been used to see on this blog. It could be the weather or just a bit of fatigue but I’ve really been into comfortable and slouchier outfits lately! There is a strong possibility that most you won’t like this outfit but bear with me: I’ll be back to my usual self in an upcoming blog post!

To style this top, I wanted to pair it with a pair of wide leg pants. The ones I got from Zara were the perfect match for what I was looking for. As it’s getting super hot in Provence, I picked a pair of sandals from Zara. To finish the look, I picked a straw bag from Space Rocket Store. It was the most obvious choice in my opinion! As the bag’s colour is the same as my sandals, it makes my outfit a bit more coherent.

What’s your take on gingham?

I really like this outfit! I don’t know how it would suit me though. Since I’m more on the petite side, wearing slouchy pants and a looser top can drown me sometimes, however, I would probably just wear a more fitted top and be good to go. The shoes also look perfect to just slide on and you’re good to go 🙂 My aunt and I have really be loving gingham recently. It’s only come to be a major trend not that long ago, but the style has definitely be around for ages! Have a lovely week 🙂
